The following information, birth date guidelines, and fees are for the 2010-2011 school year.
Threes Classes: Our Threes classes are perfect for both the first-time Preschooler, and for children who have previously been in a co-op or other preschool setting. The classrooms are rich and stimulating, and offer learning opportunities for all learning styles. All classes have two full-time staff, and class size is limited to 14. Children must be potty-trained to enter the program. We offer both morning and afternoon classes for you to choose from. Our Threes classes are:
·Young Threes AM and PM- for children born April 1, 2007 - August 31, 2007. The AM class meets Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, and PM class meets Tuesday, and Thursday, 12:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
·Older Threes AM and PM- for children born September 1, 2006 – March 31, 2007. The AM class meets Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, and PM class meets Tuesday, and Thursday, 12:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Fours and Pre-Kindergarten Classes: - Our Fours and Pre-K classes focus on Kindergarten readiness curriculum. All classes have two full-time staff and class size is limited to 16. We offer both morning and afternoon classes for you to choose from. Our Fours and Pre-K classes are:
·Young Fours AM and PM - for children born April 1, 2006 - August 31, 2006. Young Fours is the follow-on class to Young Threes. Young Fours includes Kindergarten-readiness curriculum, with the expectation that the following year, some children in Young Fours will go on to Kindergarten, and some will go on to the 4-day Pre-K class. The AM class meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, and PM class meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 12:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
·Older Fours AM and PM- for children born September 1, 2005– March 31, 2006. Older Fours is the follow-on class to Older Threes. The AM class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:30 am - 12:00 noon, and PM class meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 12:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
·4-Day Pre-K AM and PM- for children born June 1, 2005 - December 31, 2005. This is the follow-on class for Young Fours who choose to do one more year of Preschool before going on to Kindergarten. It is also an option for older children coming out of the Older Threes class. The AM class meets Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, and the PM class meets Monday through Thursday, 12:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Registration Dates for the 2010-2011 School Year:
January 4 – February 5 - Returning families (current students and siblings) and Newport Covenant Church families.
Febuary 6 – February 9: Former Preschool families and Newport Covenant Church affiliates (Newport Covenant Church regular attendees at Moms & Kids, Women's Bible Study, etc.)Please note that registration of Former families and NCC affiliates is on a first come, first served basis.
February 10 – Open registration. Open registration forms can be submitted any time up to February 10th. If there are not enough openings in a class, a lottery will be held at 2:00 on February 10th, and parents will be contacted that afternoon. Parents will be given the choice of a different class if that is an option (for example, afternoon instead of morning), and can choose whether to take that option or just go on a waiting list for their first choice.
Registration Procedure:
Returning families, Former Preschool families and Newport Covenant Church Affiliates may either register in person or mail forms in. Forms must be received by February 5th for returning families and NCC families, and by February 9th for former Preschool families and NCC affiliates.
New families may register in person or by mail. Forms must be received by February 10th to be included in the lottery for any open spots.
Fees: Both Registration Fee and Supply Fees are due at time of registration. If we do not have an opening for your child, the registration and supply fees will be refunded.
1) Registration fee: $100.00 per family (non-refundable once you have accepted a spot)
Multiple Child Discount: A tuition discount is offered to families with two or more children registered in the same year, as follows: the older child pays full tuition, the younger child (or children) receives a 10% tuition discount.
